World Cities Day 2021

For World Cities Day (Oct. 31st), in partnership with UN-Habitat, the Better Cities Film Festival hosted online for audiences around the world a selection of award-winning films from 2021's flagship Film festival in Detroit. The screening ran for 10 days from Oct. 31 - Nov.10 and included the following films: 

• Best Short Film: Rural Studio (USA)

• Better Transportation & Best Web Series: Good Hood Stories: Langa Bicycle Hub (South Africa)

• Better Environment: Urban Resilience (Canada)

• Best Tactical Urbanism Film: Precolinear Park (Italy)

• Better Technology and Innovation: Draw Me A Swallow (Switzerland)

• Better Economies For All: 11th Street Bridge Park: Leading with Equity (USA)

• Best Student Film: Vaka (Tokelau)

• Better Planning and Design: Site Specific: Ballyfermot Play Park (Ireland)
