BCFF Joins Detroit Month of Design! Dates Sept. 19-22, 2024
This year we’re moving the traditional dates of the film festival from October to September 19-22 so we can join the Detroit Month of Design—the perfect partner for the Better Cities Film Festival.
For the past 14 years the Detroit Month of Design (DMD) has hosted a citywide collaboration of creativity that gathers designers, consumers, residents and the greater community to celebrate Detroit’s role as a national and global design capital. These cross-disciplinary events take place in all corners of the city, highlighting the talent and innovation that makes Detroit a UNESCO City of Design. BCFF Expands its Screenings at Campus Martius
Moving the festival dates to Sept. means we’re able to expand our programming at America’s #1 public square, Campus Martius. BCFF is now programming three days at Campus Martius—opening night, Friday night, and all day and evening Saturday. Pull up one of our chairs, or bring your own chair or blanket, and watch the films in this beautiful civic space surrounded by great places to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a beverage.
VENUES
America’s #1Public Square, Campus Martius in Downtown Detroit, 800 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48226, is the main venue for the 2024. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Pull up a chair, or bring your own chair or blanket, and watch the films in this beautiful civic space surrounded by great places to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a beverage.
On Sunday the venue for our screenings “Let’s Design Buildings: Short Films on Architecture,” and “Let’s Get Together: Short Films on Community Empowerment",” is Christ Church Detroit at 960 E. Jefferson Ave.,
